In my mind there is an Imagination Palace. It is a place hidden to the world and filled with beauty. I sit in the rooms and wait for paintings to reveal themselves to me. I let the light filter in through stained glass windows, and leaves from the hanging plants tickle my shoulders. Feathers dust the floor as birds gather in the beams over my head. They produce fully finished paintings and hang them on the wall in front of me, waiting for me to turn them into tangible realities.
