That little pitcher and vase should be sliding right down that scarf, but they aren’t. They have grounded themselves quite firmly to the spot.

Perspective is fun to play with, as it is a main component of illusion. With something as traditional as a still life painting, I enjoy shifting elements in order to marry the ordinary to the surreal.
